About Our Founder
Mid-America Growth & Capital was founded by Jared Pawelka. Jared grew up in Colorado but after meeting his wife at Texas Christian University they settled in Oklahoma. He began his career with a family legacy of entrepreneurship spurring him on. With admiration for several family mentors that documented the building of large businesses, Jared has built several companies and always had an affinity for enterprising business-owners. After working for several years in Banking, he earned an MBA from Oklahoma State University (“The Harvard of the Midwest”) with a concentration in Corporate Finance. He became very involved early on in the growing technology development and entrepreneurship initiative at Oklahoma State University; today he still serves as an advisor and committee member to groups of students and faculty at OSU.
He gained additional operations and investment advisory experience with a money management firm. He gained securities underwriting experience within a regional broker-dealer and international advisory experience as a JPMorgan Banker; he has structured over $100 million in capital raises and M&A. For more than a decade, he has served regional business owners as an advisor, lender and securities broker. As a registered representative with FINRA he can conduct Private Placement offerings (Regulation D) and provide related advisory counsel. He and his team provide management teams with insight into the financial, taxation, strategic and legal ramifications of M&A and capital sourcing.
Today, Jared, his wife and two children make their home in Tulsa, OK. They are involved in the community through various church, education and family-protection activities. He is a board member of the Child Abuse Network and volunteers with Metro Christian Academy, Community Action Project, Junior Achievement and KIPP Academy Tulsa. He loves a good business-building story and loves to travel to be a resource to growing businesses and their stakeholders.
